Tainan Art Museum No.2, located on Zhongyi Road in the West Central District, is the second building of the Tainan Municipal Art Museum. Completed in 2019, it was co-designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban and Taiwanese architect Shi Zhao-Yong.
Inspired by the city tree—the flamboyant flower—the museum features a pentagonal layout and a fractal roof that mimics the shade of trees, blending modern aesthetics with nature. Inside are 16 exhibition halls showcasing contemporary and visual arts, along with a glasshouse restaurant offering scenic views and fine dining. Just a five-minute walk from Museum No.1, it’s ideal for exploring Tainan’s vibrant art scene.
